AKA my bitchy letter to my landlord"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BEHOLD!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is something <span style=\\\"text-decoration: underline;\\\"><strong>SO<\/strong><\/span> satisfying about telling someone off who\\&#8217;s done you So. Much. Wrong. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><em>Allow  me to make something clear to you. \u00a0This is <strong>MY<\/strong> home.\u00a0 I pay rent for  the \u201cprivilege\u201d of living here. \u00a0The R\u00e9gie du logement has it clearly  stated on their website that <strong>NO ONE<\/strong> is allowed access to anyone\u2019s  dwelling without twenty four hours of notice either written or verbal  unless there is an extreme emergency. \u00a0Such as a flood, a fire, an  electrical problem and so forth. \u00a0<strong>NONE <\/strong>of which occurred the day in  question.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You can not under <strong>ANY<\/strong> circumstances e-mail me and show up at my door a few hours later, this is <strong>NOT<\/strong> how it works.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I  am well aware that experts do not work on weekends. \u00a0However is this  \u201cexpert\u201d of yours registered with the government as outlined in the  Ville de Montreal\u2019s website?\u00a0 More specifically outlined in the pamphlet  that I sent you the link to.\u00a0 Because I will ask to see such  verification before I allow entrance of whoever your expert is into my  home.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Is this expert of yours aware that it takes upwards  of two hours to complete the job and that it is recommended that I not  be in residence for at least 45 minutes after the fact? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>So please enlighten me as to how that would work showing up at my door at almost 8pm?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Also  please note that the next time you try to unlawfully enter my apartment  without my permission I will be calling the police. \u00a0I am quite certain  that you would not like to be arrested for unlawful entering and  trespassing. \u00a0This is exactly what will happen should you make that  attempt again without my permission.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I  did not give you <strong>ANY<\/strong> permission verbal or written to enter my apartment.  \u00a0I don\u2019t know who you think you are showing up at my door when it\u2019s  convient for you without giving me reasonable notice first. \u00a0Certain  steps need to be taken in terms of preparation to have the job done.  \u00a0Ergo notice is necessary.\u00a0 Otherwise this will just prolong the job at  hand, which takes a lot longer then 5-10 minutes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I  was home when you arrived, granted I had not checked my e-mail at that  point and was indisposed and un-able to answer my door.\u00a0 That was when I  heard someone trying to enter into my dwelling.\u00a0 After having  experienced a recent attempted break-in, I am on high alert when someone  shows up at my door un-announced. \u00a0By the time I was able to get to the  door, no one was there. \u00a0However judging by your e-mail saying that it  was you at my door, I can assume that it was you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>What  if you were able to gain un-permissible access when it was a <span style=\\\"text-decoration: underline;\\\"><strong>NON<\/strong><\/span> emergency and I was with someone?\u00a0 I have a right to my privacy.\u00a0 I have  been nothing but patient, considerate and understanding about pretty  much everything.\u00a0 Violating my rights is where I draw the line.\u00a0 It  wasn\u2019t urgent until I filed a complaint with the R\u00e9gie du logement who  then suggested due to the nature of one my (numerous) complaints I  contact the Ville de Montreal for intervention.\u00a0 Clearly this is a  rather pathetic attempt at trying to save you and perhaps your job.\u00a0  Lest the city step in and discover a whole plethora of things wrong with  my dwelling or the building.\u00a0 Had you actually taken the time to  respond to my registered letter within the proposed time line and  followed the protocol as set forth by the R\u00e9gie du logement then this  wouldn\u2019t have been an issue. \u00a0However you didn\u2019t, therefore it is.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I  have already spoken to a representative at the Ville de Montreal office  and I will be scheduling an appointment with a building inspector  regardless.\u00a0 Whereupon I will be taking their findings with me to my yet  to be scheduled hearing with the R\u00e9gie du logement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I  will not be free most of this week as I have meetings and so forth and  will not be able to free up anytime for this matter. \u00a0It\u2019s not urgent,  although still problematic in nature.\u00a0 I have however been living with  this situation for months now. \u00a0As much as it\u2019s physically, mentally and  emotionally troubling to me I will have no choice but to live with it a  little longer.\u00a0 You had more then sufficient and ample time to correct  this.\u00a0 Time which was not utilized by yourself.\u00a0 That\u2019s also not my  fault and I will exercise any form of recourse bestowed upon me by the  Ville de Montreal and the R\u00e9gie du logement from here on out.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I feel<strong> SO<\/strong> much better now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BEHOLD!
