I also LOVE Akismet<\/a>!\u00a0 I highly recommend it to anyone who blogs and gets a ton of spam comments\/trackbacks like myself.\u00a0 Now I don\\’t even have to deal with them aside from giving them a cursory glance to make sure that its not a comment from one of my friends.\u00a0\u00a0 Same thing with recaptcha<\/a> software that too has come in pretty handy I have to admit!<\/p>\n

So I have Monday off for thanksgiving, which is always nice!\u00a0 I don\\’t bother going home to Cambridge,\u00a0 Ontario<\/a> because its really just too damn long (8-12 hours depending on how I get there) and well its quite simply not worth it.\u00a0 Also the last time my mom asked me if I was coming home and I said no, she said good lol.\u00a0 Mostly though because I\\’m here in Montreal and my sister and her family usually ended up doing whatever with the in-laws.\u00a0 Maybe this year will be different but in any case\u00a0 I won\\’t be there.\u00a0 I\\’d rather come home at Christmas knowing that I could see my whole family and have more time to visit my friends as well.<\/p>\n

Speaking of my friends…\u00a0 I have to share this random little story.\u00a0 My good childhood friend Adam <\/a>used to text me all the time via his work cell phone but then the texting privileges got taken away and then sadly he got laid off.\u00a0 So anyway he got called back to work and now has a cell phone of his own so he asked for my cell number so he could text me but the messages were never going through to me.\u00a0 Long story short, he saved my number as 519 area code as opposed to 514 so he was texting someone\\’s landline which is hilarious because we call each other fucker and often lol.\u00a0 I can only imagine what those people were thinking when texts meant for me were going to their home phone ha ha!<\/p>\n
