I bet your wondering what all four of these have in common…\u00a0 Oh but they do!\u00a0 See I am sure that I mentioned that some punk ass douche-bag \\”compromised\\” my Visa so mine was canceled as a precautionary measure.\u00a0 So because of that\u00a0 I had to wait for the new card to be sent to my mom\\’s house in ON and then wait for her to send it to me registered mail.\u00a0 Shiny new visa comes in last Thursday and I finally got off my ass to go to the post office and pick up because I had to sign for it.\u00a0 So that\\’s fine, I open up the envelope only to discover that my card wasn\\’t ready to use, had to either activate it online or via telephone due to the chip I have with the pin.\u00a0 So I tried to do it online but because I\\’m not the primary card holder I apparently needed some of my moms info.\u00a0 Turns out I didn\\’t (bastards) but you know c\\’est la vie.\u00a0 So I dropped it off at home and trekked over to Gryphon to see two of my favorite people.\u00a0 Had lunch with two of my favorite customers, played catch up and ran off to work to pick up my pay.<\/p>\n
So I go to work, grab my pay, briefly tormented Freeman for a while.\u00a0 So I detach my cheque from my pay stub (we use a company now) sign it, fold it in 1\/2, shove it into my back pocket and run off to the bank that is literally 2 blocks away!\u00a0 So as soon as I get there, I discovered that my pay was GONE.\u00a0 W.T.F?!?!?!\u00a0 Seriously?\u00a0 FAIL!\u00a0 F.A.I.L!\u00a0 So I hoped that maybe it fell out of my pocket at work somewhere and went back.\u00a0 I of course re-traced my steps which was pointless because it was nice and windy today and who knows where on earth it ended up?\u00a0 So back at C.O.C, I called my manager to get the number of our payroll company to put a stop payment on it.\u00a0 It was around 4:45, guess who closes at 4:30?\u00a0 THE FUCKING PAYROLL COMPANY!\u00a0 I was thinking seriously?\u00a0 Your joking right?\u00a0 So I ran back to the bank just to have a note put on my account file with the cheque number stating that I had lost it and to not accept it should someone try to cash it in my name because I signed it at work.\u00a0 Which sounds crazy to some people but sometimes its actually safer because then no one can attempt forgery.\u00a0 I consigned myself with the fact that most banks close at 4pm, which today being the ONLY time I was actually thankful for that!\u00a0 I\\’m hoping that if someone actually found it, that in an attempt to cash it they use the bank machine…\u00a0 Yeah I know sounds nuts but I\\’m thinking I should have a stop payment in place before it actually gets removed from said machine and cleared by the bank, best scenario.\u00a0 Worst scenario, someone actually was able to cash it\u00a0 on my behalf and then the payroll company tells me how utterly fucked I am…\u00a0 We\\’ll see what happens.<\/p>\n
So I thought, all is not totally lost because I have a Visa (thanks mom!) so at least I have access to some funds and won\\’t be totally poor and can just slap my pay onto that when I actually get it.\u00a0 Except that wasn\\’t meant to happen either…\u00a0 I do all my running around, then I head off to the pharmacy to pick up my birth control pills for the month and what do you know?\u00a0 MY FUCKING VISA CARD DOESN\\’T<\/strong><\/span> WORK!\u00a0 I was about ready to loose it at this point, but it was almost 7pm IE: free mins kick in, so I call the handy 800 number on the back.\u00a0 \\”Oh I\\’m sorry miss your not the primary card holder\\” So I said yeah I know, its my mom.\u00a0 \\”Oh is your mom there (in a condescending talking to a child tone)\\” I said yeah well, she\\’s home but she also lives 650km away in Ontario and I\\’m in Montreal.\u00a0\u00a0 \\”Well I need to speak with her before I do anything to the account because I have security questions I have to ask her\\” .\u00a0 Fine, its a security thing, I get<\/em> that.\u00a0 However all I wanted was my damn baby prevention script!\u00a0 You see, they keep me sane and baby free, oh yeah and I don\\’t have breakouts either but that\\’s a side effect I\\’m willing to live with.\u00a0 In spite of the fact that I have awesome skin like that (thanks mom!).\u00a0 So I walk home, call my mom in ON, tell her what happened and asked her to call me back once she\\’s off the phone with them praying that it doesn\\’t take hours.<\/p>\n So mom calls me back and I apologized for horribly inconveniencing her like that because I knew she wasn\\’t feeling well.\u00a0 She said its no problem Steph, I\\’m your mom that\\’s what you do as a parent.\u00a0 See this is why I don\\’t have kids, they\\’re a pain in the ass!\u00a0 I do however love my mom and all that she does for me <3.\u00a0 However my mom tends to tell people a little too much on occasion, you know like the tattoo I have on my vag.\u00a0 Yeah my mom goes out of her way to tell people about it.\u00a0 One of these days someone\\’s going to ask to see it and you know I most likely will show them.\u00a0 Doesn\\’t matter because my girly bits are going to be part of an art book (that\\’s a whole other story).\u00a0 Anyway getting off topic here…\u00a0 So the person on the phone was a woman and my mom says to her my daughter went to the pharmacy to get her B\/C pills but her card didn\\’t work.\u00a0 I don\\’t need that to happen (her?\u00a0 What about me? lol) she says oh yes, she would need those, can\\’t have that happening now or she\\’d blame Scotia for it (yes, yes I would).\u00a0 Apparently they both though that was hilarious.\u00a0 I however not so much.\u00a0 Sooooooo I got my card activated and verified, head back to JCP for a second time, wouldn\\’t you know it…\u00a0 MY FUCKING VISA DIDN\\’T WORK AGAIN!\u00a0 So I told the poor cashier I was sorry for being such a pain, she says oh no, I feel bad for you.\u00a0 I know you need them (yes, yes I do!).\u00a0 So as I\\’m walking home I passed a dep that had an ATM, thought well maybe its just the terminal?\u00a0 Hello cash advance attempt.\u00a0 Success!\u00a0 Grabbed some cash and went back to the pharmacy for the THIRD time and finally got my pills.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Funny thing about birth control, more so the one that I\\’m on (Alesse) in case you wondering.\u00a0 I\\’d gotten a \\”warning\\” from someone I know about it.\u00a0 More so being on the pill and antibiotics at the same time.\u00a0 I knew this from when I first started taking the pill in the first place because I read the pamphlet that came enclosed with the first kind I was on back in the day.\u00a0 Because I like how smart I am for one thing and I want to know everything about what I\\’m putting into my body.\u00a0 Well apparently said persons g\/f had taken antibiotics and allegedly wasn\\’t forewarned to use an alternative type of b\/c.\u00a0 I\\’ve ALWAYS been told, because the fact that I\\’m on the pill is not only on my file and when its not the pharmacist makes sure that I am aware of this.\u00a0 I call bullshit.\u00a0 Because yes while the pill is proven to be 99% effective there is always that 1% but that\\’s SO minuscule.\u00a0 That\\’s one piece of ignorance that I refuse to buy into.\u00a0 Mostly because this happened conveniently around the time that\u00a0 he was talking about moving to the US, as a matter of fact that incident happened TWICE (both times when he was seriously considering this move).\u00a0 OK one time, it can happen.\u00a0 It may have happened to me, although they\\’re not 100% certain that I was in fact pregnant which would have resulted in a possible miscarriage.\u00a0 But that\\’s neither here nor there.\u00a0 I hate to sound insensitive but I didn\\’t know so there was no attachment there and not being able to totally confirm it from a medical standpoint either.\u00a0 Instinctively though, I\\’m 99% sure that I was.<\/p>\n Its not like if you miss a day or if your on antibiotics that you\\’re going to automatically get pregnant.\u00a0 News flash, that\\’s usually not <\/strong><\/span>how it works.\u00a0 Yes it can happen but I\\’ll tell ya, after being on the pill so long it would most likely take me a lot longer<\/em> to get pregnant after I stopped taking it completely<\/strong><\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 Can we say baby trap?\u00a0 It astounds me the amount of woman who use the whole I\\’ll be all ninja like and get myself knocked up behind his back and trap him.\u00a0 I REALLY<\/strong> hate when people use children as a pawn in their sick, fucked up, emotionally twisted games.\u00a0 Reminds me of a similar story that I heard from a guy who\\’s cheating on his g\/f whom HE<\/strong> invited BACK<\/strong> into his life and when I asked why, he claimed<\/em> that the daycare said his son was having emotional issues because his father wasn\\’t at home.\u00a0 His son is two, and I don\\’t mean to sound insensitive but really; your doing that child NO favors by sticking around because you feel its the \\”right thing to do\\”.\u00a0 Children aren\\’t stupid and yeah they\\’re likely going to lash out but I think it would be less traumatizing to do it when your child is still considered an infant as opposed to having the whole relationship
