I know, I know I\\’m talking about vag again.\u00a0 This time however its not mine<\/a>, its someone Else\\’s.\u00a0 While I do<\/em> maintain a somewhat active role in the \\”modification community\\” at large, my participation has lessened quite a bit.\u00a0 Unless of course I am talking about my own work.\u00a0 After all, it is<\/em> my<\/span> blog.\u00a0 I also try to avoid drama at all costs, but like I said to Mr. A.P. last night:\\” I don\\’t seek out drama, but I seem to attract quite a bit of it\\”.\u00a0 Which is why I was debating writing this post at all, however seeing as how I choose to comment<\/a> on Ania\\’s mod related blog <\/a> I guess I somewhat brought some of that drama into my life?\u00a0 Anyway, it all started with this<\/a>.\u00a0 Now I could link endlessly to the pissing contest that has ensued since then, however I honestly can not and will not be bothered.\u00a0 However I do feel compelled to share my $5.00 on the topic of how much is too much?<\/p>\n

In terms of body modification that is.<\/p>\n

I misunderstood Russ Foxx\\’s quote \\” But most doctors won\\’t perform these types of procedures, said Russ Foxx, a body-modification specialist in Vancouver. \\”That leaves us in a predicament. Who do I go to?\\” he said.\u00a0 Foxx said he learns how to perform procedures from talking to veteran practitioners, reading books and traveling to conventions.<\/em>\\”\u00a0 Whereas I commented on Ania\\’s blog that I call bullshit because most plastic surgeons will in fact perform cosmetic surgery on one\\’s vag.\u00a0 Ear pointing, tongue splitting (and so on) not so much.\u00a0 I get that, as in the whole where do I go?<\/em> Because like most of the educated<\/em><\/span> modified people I know personally do an insane amount of research before progressing with anything regardless of whether or not its deemed \\”experimental\\” , high risk or whatever or not.\u00a0 If you are modified, then you can understand\/comprehend and relate to this.\u00a0 Essentially, its what makes US happy at the end of the day.\u00a0 We do it because we want to, for a number of reasons.\u00a0 The bottom line is this: If you want something\/anything bad enough you will seek it out actively until you get.\u00a0 Some of us will spare no expense or take ridiculous risks and some of us will take the time to seek out a trusting, educated individual to preform the work we seek.\u00a0 Tattoos, piercings, scars whatever.<\/p>\n

However there is also a lot of stupid people out there as well.\u00a0 I can\\’t help but agree with Steve Peace to a degree when he said:\\” Where do you stop?\u00a0 I\\’m a tattoo artist, not a Dr.\\” OK fine, I\\’ll give you that.\u00a0 If it bothers you that much, then by all means stick with tattooing then.\u00a0 I also agree that there IS in fact a lot of people who claim<\/em> to know what the hell they\\’re doing (they don\\’t<\/em>) and I for one know of a few people who really don\\’t have the training or the skills to be pulling off a lot of what they do.\u00a0 Yes a labia reduction, ear pointing, tongue splitting to name a few do<\/em> fall under the surgical category.\u00a0 Most modification artists aren\\’t Dr.\\’s of any shape or form, however its not as if she went in for breast implants either.\u00a0 OK slightly contradictory yes, however regardless of whether its a Dr, your best friend, your tattoo artist or some dirt-bag in a back alley doing your stuff the risk factor is always<\/em> there.\u00a0 How high that risk factor is really depends on what your getting done and how controlled the environment that your in is as well.\u00a0 Not to mention the cost factor as well.\u00a0 I was told by her that she was quoted 4 grand by a surgeon, that\\’s a lot of coin to make your vag look nice to your satisfaction.\u00a0 Some people are willing to spend that kind of money, others not so much.\u00a0 Some people can\\’t simply find someone they trust enough that\\’s a professional surgeon to do the work or whatever the reasons are.\u00a0 Wether you are getting plastic surgery or a tattoo, you\\’re altering the way your body looks forever.<\/p>\n

I happen to know of<\/em> said person in question.\u00a0 I\\’ve never met her personally, however I am quite familiar with and totally support her shop.\u00a0 I\\’m from Ontario and spent a lot of time in Guelph so maybe my loyalty stems from that.\u00a0 In any case\u00a0 I am however also a woman & I can totally relate to looking at certain body parts and loathing their overall appearance in general.\u00a0 I personally tattoo them.\u00a0 I was dead against getting my sleeves started until my arms were more toned.\u00a0 Then I said fuck it, now I\\’m sporting some awesome in progress sleeves.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because to me its taking something you deem \\”ugly\\” and turning it into something beautiful.\u00a0 I also have my pubic mound tattooed, not entirely for the same reasons mind you, but I get<\/em> it.<\/p>\n

Now for ME<\/strong> personally, I don\\’t have the proverbial balls do get my vag that modified as in a surgical manner.\u00a0 Christ I had a hard enough time\u00a0 getting my VCH done<\/a>!\u00a0 Never mind someone toying with my bits with a scalpel (I am shuddering inwardly, as is my vag<\/em>).\u00a0 However, this individual had the guts, the research, not to mention a trusted individual on hand to go through with getting it done.\u00a0 I can admire that and you know I am rather curious about the whole procedure as whole just because I\\’m a curious person.<\/p>\n

However the main reason why this incident has me up in arms varies on a number of levels.\u00a0 First of all, its YOUR body, therefore I think that it should be your choice to do with it what you wish, under the proper circumstances.\u00a0 Whatever you deem those to be, is entirely up to you I suppose.\u00a0 However I\\’m all for any\/all modifications pending they are done in a safe & sterile<\/span> environment.\u00a0 Take that for what you will…\u00a0 This person is a grown woman<\/em>, a well educated about said procedure woman.\u00a0 Not a minor<\/a>!\u00a0 So where does one draw the line?\u00a0 Do I think its assault?\u00a0 Absolutely not!\u00a0 Apparently the police don\\’t either<\/a>.\u00a0 Which is amazing \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Its also about privacy and the breech that having such things come to light that followed.\u00a0 It amuses me greatly that, that bitch TOS\\’d my IAM account for sending private diary entries to non IAM members. <\/a>(which actually didn\\’t happen) that incident is derived from a certain Micheal Minter hacking into Jason\\’s<\/a> e-mail due to a project they were working on and Micheal totally betrayed him and sending private E-MAILS to Rachel<\/a>, pretending to be Jason.\u00a0 Anyway, that\\’s neither here nor there now is it?\u00a0 The fact of the matter is this: Rachel is a cunt, a woman\\’s genitals (IMHO) are the most intimate part of her body and seeing as how the tape in question was very limited to who had copies of it, including Rachel (the UN-edited version no less) somehow ended up in the hands of the police.\u00a0 How utterly convenient is that?\u00a0 I used to have a large amount of respect for the site in question<\/a>.\u00a0 That is when it belonged to Shannon of course, whereupon I have a very hard time believing that such an incident would have ever happened.<\/p>\n

Such incidents affect the modified community as a whole.\u00a0 She\\’s (as in the alleged \\”victim\\”) happy with how everything turned out (mod wise), the \\”accused\\” in question was found innocent of assault charges (as they should be).\u00a0 So perhaps its a small victory for the mod community as a whole.\u00a0 In any case I am beyond thrilled that this whole incident is \\”over\\” in terms of the investigation and that they won.\u00a0 However, I for one would not appreciate someone violating my privacy in such a manner of speaking had this happened to me.\u00a0 After all, its my fucking labia, Christ my body<\/em> in general and I should be able to do with it what I choose to in a situation that I am most comfortable with.<\/p>\n

So should she, and\u00a0 I see no reason why they should be punished for it either.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
