Productivity is brilliant!

So my long weekend is coming to a close but I have to say I made the most out of this one for certain!  I took care of a lot of little things that I have been putting off because well I love to procrastinate a little too much sometimes and I\’ve been so damn sick the last little while that i\’ve had 0 motivation as well.

My bathroom is done YAY!  My pictures came in on Saturday so those are framed and ready to go.  Trimmed out my living room window with 1/4 molding to finish off my insulation wall because well that looked hideous, hemmed my living room curtains once and for all, and took care of a million little things around here that I kept telling myself needed to get done and just didn\’t do them so that was nice.  My bedroom however looks like a bomb went off in it so that I shall take care of today and the last few tasks that I simply didn\’t feel like doing yesterday.  Then they\’re done once and for all and hopefully won\’t drive me crazy any longer.

Not the most exciting way to spend a weekend but I\’m finally starting to feel better so no time like the present or so the saying goes…  Then I\’ll finally get around to taking pictures of this place too while I\’m at it lol.  Xavier si being a pain in the ass lately, he\’s SO bad!  Heddy is finally starting to keep him in line though its somewhat amusing to watch the turf war that\’s going on around here!  He however has to stop chewing everything he gets his little teeth on!  One of these days he\’s going to electrocute himself and I don\’t see that being a site that I care to see!

Time to tackle the last of those projects!

Don\’t forget, no regrets…  I just happened to have that song stuck in my head, and in a way it somewhat applies I guess for the most part in a round-about-sorta-way…  With the exception of \”I thought that you would be begging to be with me. I’m the one on my knees, blubbering,
\”please, let me stay\”.\”  Cos well I don\’t/won\’t do that…  EVER…  Granted I have had people begging to be with me because well I am awesome 😉

Yeah that was totally random in a way but in another way I can\’t entirely divulge what exactly I\’m talking about/referring to mostly because I\’m not 100% certain myself… lol  In a way I\’m putting my foot down in regards to certain things.  In some ways I feel like a dog that chases its tail but in the same token I can\’t get pissed because I\’ve been SO damn sick lately and really, really angry!  I managed once again to get myself into one hell of a really bad situation that\’s bound to be FULL of absolute FAIL…  We\’ll see how it all works out in the end though I guess.  At least I know where I stand with some people and well that\’s better then nothing I suppose right?  Needless to say the way that some people handle certain situations serves as a shining example of things to come!  I just hope that they keep that particular fact in mind…  Someone\’s going to win and someone\’s going to loose and I have a feeling that I already know who that is… One can never truly know until it happens, and maybe I\’ll surprise myself…

*I can only imagine the assumptions that some people are going to arrive at while reading this, in any case don\’t assume that its about you because it very well might not be, but it just very well may be about you, you\’ll never know.*

So anyway time to turn the page and move on to more randomness that\’s my life…
Bathroom is painted and partially decorated.  Of course the previous decor just didn\’t fit in with the current color so that had to be changed.  Now I have to play the waiting game because I ordered 8×10 prints of my own work that I altered in paint-shop pro to \”appear\” as if they\’re already matted and well to just add visual interest as opposed to having the entire image fill it.   They won\’t be ready until Monday which is also thanksgiving day which means that *I* get a PAID day off of work, excellent!  Not sure if the place is actually open or not, but perhaps it is.  I hope so, because its making my OCD go a little insane 😉

I\’ve come to the conclusion that my kitty affectionately known as Mrs. Kitler isn\’t anorexic, I think she just hates her food or maybe she hates her new brother…  She hasn\’t eaten SFA in DAYS and even though she was a total fat ass, she\’s lost a little too much weight and I was starting to get concerned.  I can\’t \”free feed\” her like I was doing because Xavier is a total pig and eats his food and then her\’s too!  So that poses a bit of an issue because I can\’t drag her off into my room or something to ensure that she\’s eating.  I would hate to have to send him back to the shelter but it looks like I may not have a choice in the matter.  After all Heddy got here first and she\’s my baby!

I had a job interview yesterday, went OK I guess.  The executive Chef is super nice and the money is AMAZING!  So that would be exceptional but I\’m never that fortunate so I\’m not getting my hopes up at this time.   Because well that\’s just foolish and all now isn\’t it?

Concerts FTW!

So last weekend and parts of this week have been insanely busy!  I had consigned myself to *not* going to the Metallica concert since no one else I knew was going and tickets were seemingly impossible to obtain and expensive, or so I thought…  Friday night I was at a benefit concert for my friends rescue.  That\’s when the deafness started, it was a heavy metal/punk indie show that consisted of several bands most of which were really good.  Needless to say I was impressed with the quality of some of the music.

Then Saturday I  helped deliver a wedding cake, trekked around the F1 track and went to a thank you BBQ @ Jackie\’s house with Jen & Clint which was nice.  I also got a new kitty, his name was tou-tou but has since been changed to Xavier and he\’s quite the handful but seems to be a happy kitty overall.

\"My\"my\"Wedding The Saturday when I got home from Beaconsfield I get a call from Krystal freaking out because she found a contact scalper for metallica tickets for $150.00 YAY!  We had AMAZING seats!  We were 3rd row from the floor which was really like having front row tickets because the first 2 rows in front of us were blocked off since we were in front of the sound stage.  Metallica KILLED IT!  They were AMAZING!  I have been DYING to go to one of their shows forever and I finally got to see them live!  Since the tickets were only $50.00 more then retail and I scored mine 6 hours before showtime it was a pretty sweet deal!

So after Metallica Sunday night I was pretty much deaf & dead tired!  The show started at 7:00pm right on time and Metallica hit the stage at 9:15 & rocked it out til 11:15 and played a few songs from their new album and of course all their awesome old songs too!

Then on Monday I recovered from Metallica and on Tuesday night we went to see Manson.  Manson was sick and I think that affected the show overall.  Kudos to him for sticking it out and putting on the show in the first place but I have to say I was a tad dissapointed.  Granted I\’m not a huge Manson fan but we were on the floor for this one and there was long pauses between sets and the opening show die mannequin wasn\’t that great either…  Overall Manson was a whole lot of flash with some good tunes and overall put on a decent show.  I got sucked into the mosh pit in the front and made it to the front but for the most part I was about 6 people deep from the front of the stage.   I\’ll tell you, it was damn hard to get decent shots when your up to your armpits in people thrashing around and your camera is being pissy lol.\"PC060313\"

Sometimes I do nice things

Even though according to some people… Micheal *ahem* I\’m trashing my street cred I don\’t care. I never claimed not to be a nice, good all around decent person because I am. That however doesn\’t mean that I\’m STILL not totally badass (because I am) and I refuse to take shit from anyone. Anyway yesterday was the Beaconsfield pet fair and Reach for the stars rescue was there. Which most people should know is owned and operated by a friend of mine and I stand by her efforts 150%.   So in spite of the fact that I didn\’t go to bed until 4:30am I got up early and dragged my ass off to the west island and was hello kitty for the day.

Yes I dressed up as hello kitty.  Yeah we all know how much hello kitty rules but it was pretty warm yesterday and wearing 2 layers of plush over my jeans and t-shirt was equivalent to wearing my own personal sauna ALL day.  Made lots of little girls exceptionally happy, freaked out a few smaller children, as well as scared a dog.  Posed for lots of pictures, got attacked numerous times by small children who I couldn\’t really see since that mask is almost damn near impossible to see anything in.  I however managed not to step on anyone\’s animals or children and didn\’t kick any puppies.

It was an awesome day for the rescue since most people had dogs whereas we did too but we also had lots of kitties with us that were in dire need of forever homes and thankfully to the generosity of some kind people 7 cats and one dog are now out of foster care which is awesome!  I couldn\’t be more happier for Jackie\’s rescue since she works SO hard to make sure that those animals are taken care of and well loved!  Reach for the stars rescue is the ONLY foster based rescue that provides everything.  From the food, the litter, vet check ups, toys, blankets and the whole 9 yards!

Sooner as opposed to later I\’ll be building their website so that we can make a better effort to get the word out for fund-raising and such.  Which Jackie does a lot of from making her own jam from scratch, dinners, live shows and any other means that she can raise money to help them.  I think she\’s amazing, I have never met someone who gives so selflessly to others.  Most people are against adopting from rescues and various agency\’s because of the adoption fee\’s.  What most people don\’t take into consideration is the amount of money that goes into making sure that they\’re well loved and healthy BEFORE they become your new pet.

So on that note, once my business gets up and running, some proceeds will go to the rescue because I know for a fact that ALL the money she raises is put back into her rescue efforts and doesn\’t keep a cent for herself.  OK I\’m done pimping out the rescue for now 😉

Just goes to show you that those of us who are modified aren\’t bad people!
