I\’ve made a rather strange observation as of late. It seems that *almost* everyone I know back home has done the following:
- Got engaged
- Bought a house
- Got married
- Has a baby on the way
And in that order for the most part. Which is SO typical of my hometown, everything is so neat, tidy and perfect.
Then there\’s me:
- I bailed outta Ontario
- Moved to Montreal
- Got married
- Lived in an apartment
- Moved to a bigger apartment
- Got a divorce/moved out and left everything to him
- Lived in a rooming house for over a year & met John
- Moved into my own apt. and replaced everything that I left with my ex husband
- I am now currently enjoying my independence 🙂
I wonder if my life would have been the same, but likely not as I have always walked to the beat of a different drum myself. I don\’t know if I could deal with having such a \”neat and tidy life\” as such. Not that I\’m envious or anything of the such, I am actually thrilled that everyone I know from back home is doing exceptionally well. Its just odd how everyone else seems to fit into that \”mold\”. At least from my hometown, that really doesn\’t apply to my other friends. Like Carly, who is as anti-baby as I am ha ha!
In any case, I like my life the way that it is. Taking on too much, and its generally utterly chaotic but I live by my own rules and I like it!
