Dear wolf crying, drama Queens.

The one thing I truly dislike about social media is the blatant abuse of it.  I get constant invites to bullshit \”causes\” such as tell Zynga to do what-the-fuck-ever with my farm/mafia/game show/ kid brother/ my pet monster, whatever.

THAT AIN\’T A FUCKING CAUSE YO!

Causes was created so that people who have legitimate charities/NFP organizations and  such to raise money and awareness about things that are important, you know like cancer?!? Your farm? Not so much.

I don\’t say that to be insensitive or mean, I play the odd game here and there on FB to procrastinate from doing things that I should be doing pass the time.  There\’s nothing wrong with that, although abusing such things like that are.  So. Very. Wrong.  So yeah, I report those.

Yeah I totally am one of those people.

Anyway, another thing I dislike about social media in general is the need for it to be a popularity contest for some, an audience for others.  Whatever the reason, some people abuse it to a whole other level.  Such as a need to churn up constant drama!  Especially when I see things like this:

OMFG! NO ONE LOVES ME, I WANT TO DIE </3

I\’M GOING TO GO KILL MYSELF RIGHT NOW!

(enter dramatic sigh/sob here)

You know what I say to that?

PLEASE DO!  Because then I don\’t have to:

  • A. block you from my news-feed anymore and/or kick you off my friends list for being a drama queen douche.
  • B. Wonder if this time you\’re actually being fucking serious or not.
  • C. Waste my precious time and training trying to help you help yourself when really you just have a low self esteem and need some fucking redemption of yourself!

Suicide is serious, so stop fucking around about it and making it into some personal fucking game for your attention seeking ways!

It\’s not to say that I don\’t care.  Because clearly I DO otherwise I wouldn\’t bother with this, nor this.  Suicide is no stranger to my life and out of all the people I lost, not one of them went ahead and broadcasted it all over the fucking internet.  The signs were there (they always are) however they\’re so subtle that you might not notice them if you\’re not paying attention.  The key to communication is to not only listen, but to hear what\’s NOT being said.  So when you scream suicide online like some fucking drama Queen idiot, the only thing you\’re saying to me is this: I need help, I need someone to love me.  NOT :I want to die.

So you think about this the next time you want to say shit like that, think about the people\’s heads you\’re fucking with, simply because you need attention.

Think long and fucking hard.

First impression\’s…

are apparently lasting ones and thank God for that!  Because at least my first months rent was paid ON TIME.

Except, I had a major faux pas with my rent this month, which is a tad embarrassing (only my second month living here) and it\’s costing me a small fortune!  You see my bank had this option that you could have additional savings set up for every transaction of your choice ( withdrawals made  via an ATM, in house or whenever you used your bank card to pay for something).  As in for every purchase you make, x amount of money will be transferred to another account.  Not a bad idea overall and it\’s helped me save a few bucks through the years by placing said money in a  guaranteed investment account.  Except this time, that nifty little option cost me dearly.

I just moved, had a ton of dental work done and hell yes I had to buy a ticket to Pearl Jam.  Money\’s a tad tight for the moment, however that too will level itself out eventually.  I\’m pretty responsible about paying my rent on time, I do like having a roof over my head.

Who doesn\’t?

It wasn\’t until I got home that I was planning on going out and getting something that I thought to myself to check my balance and see if I had enough stashed in my main account to get what I needed.  Imagine my surprise and utter horror when it dawned on me that I had too much money in my account this close to payday.  My rent cheque bounced due to a lack of $2.26.

Yes TWO DOLLARS AND TWENTY SIX FUCKING CENTS!

So with a nice stockpile of NSF fee\’s, that $2.26 is going to end up costing me $67.00

AWESOME!

It\’s not as if the money wasn\’t actually there either.  Because it was.

IN ANOTHER ACCOUNT!  WITH THE SAME BANK!

Had they not charged me \”other bank fee\’s\”.  For what exactly, I don\’t know. So much for my accounts being covered under a flat rate, since I don\’t typically use other bank machines.  Mostly because I rarely carry cash.  What pisses me off, is that something like this has happened before.  Not quite the same situation but close.  What did the bank do?  Went into another account, took the money out and only charged me $5.00/ that I can live with.

This isn\’t the first time they\’ve screwed me either.  They cashed two cheques at the same time, regardless of the fact that one was post dated for a month later which they \”corrected\” but I of course still had to pay the $42.00 NSF fee.  That was last summer (thanks douche bags!)

So fuck you bank, this is the LAST time you have screwed me over.  I\’ll be looking into your competition, because I am officially FED up with your incompetent bullshit!  If it was something that *I* did, fine.  I\’ll take responsibility.  However the money was there, and you choose not to use it.  So that being said:

FUCK YOU!

This is how you say F**K you politely and without actually having to say it :)? AKA my bitchy letter to my landlord

BEHOLD!

There is something SO satisfying about telling someone off who\’s done you So. Much. Wrong. 🙂

Allow me to make something clear to you.  This is MY home.  I pay rent for the “privilege” of living here.  The Régie du logement has it clearly stated on their website that NO ONE is allowed access to anyone’s dwelling without twenty four hours of notice either written or verbal unless there is an extreme emergency.  Such as a flood, a fire, an electrical problem and so forth.  NONE of which occurred the day in question.

You can not under ANY circumstances e-mail me and show up at my door a few hours later, this is NOT how it works.

I am well aware that experts do not work on weekends.  However is this “expert” of yours registered with the government as outlined in the Ville de Montreal’s website?  More specifically outlined in the pamphlet that I sent you the link to.  Because I will ask to see such verification before I allow entrance of whoever your expert is into my home.

Is this expert of yours aware that it takes upwards of two hours to complete the job and that it is recommended that I not be in residence for at least 45 minutes after the fact?

So please enlighten me as to how that would work showing up at my door at almost 8pm?

Also please note that the next time you try to unlawfully enter my apartment without my permission I will be calling the police.  I am quite certain that you would not like to be arrested for unlawful entering and trespassing.  This is exactly what will happen should you make that attempt again without my permission.

I did not give you ANY permission verbal or written to enter my apartment.  I don’t know who you think you are showing up at my door when it’s convient for you without giving me reasonable notice first.  Certain steps need to be taken in terms of preparation to have the job done.  Ergo notice is necessary.  Otherwise this will just prolong the job at hand, which takes a lot longer then 5-10 minutes.

I was home when you arrived, granted I had not checked my e-mail at that point and was indisposed and un-able to answer my door.  That was when I heard someone trying to enter into my dwelling.  After having experienced a recent attempted break-in, I am on high alert when someone shows up at my door un-announced.  By the time I was able to get to the door, no one was there.  However judging by your e-mail saying that it was you at my door, I can assume that it was you.

What if you were able to gain un-permissible access when it was a NON emergency and I was with someone?  I have a right to my privacy.  I have been nothing but patient, considerate and understanding about pretty much everything.  Violating my rights is where I draw the line.  It wasn’t urgent until I filed a complaint with the Régie du logement who then suggested due to the nature of one my (numerous) complaints I contact the Ville de Montreal for intervention.  Clearly this is a rather pathetic attempt at trying to save you and perhaps your job.  Lest the city step in and discover a whole plethora of things wrong with my dwelling or the building.  Had you actually taken the time to respond to my registered letter within the proposed time line and followed the protocol as set forth by the Régie du logement then this wouldn’t have been an issue.  However you didn’t, therefore it is.

I have already spoken to a representative at the Ville de Montreal office and I will be scheduling an appointment with a building inspector regardless.  Whereupon I will be taking their findings with me to my yet to be scheduled hearing with the Régie du logement.

I will not be free most of this week as I have meetings and so forth and will not be able to free up anytime for this matter.  It’s not urgent, although still problematic in nature.  I have however been living with this situation for months now.  As much as it’s physically, mentally and emotionally troubling to me I will have no choice but to live with it a little longer.  You had more then sufficient and ample time to correct this.  Time which was not utilized by yourself.  That’s also not my fault and I will exercise any form of recourse bestowed upon me by the Ville de Montreal and the Régie du logement from here on out.

I feel SO much better now!

My psycho property manager

The saga continues…

It\’s no secret that I am not pleased with my living situation as pretty much everyone knows.  I have since filed a complaint with the regie de lodgement about the living conditions around here.  Seeking punitive damages to the tune of $8000.00 dollars.  I was told by my agent to contact the city and file a formal complaint.  After contacting the city about filing said complaint and having a building inspector come in and take a look at the situation in my home, I was told to write up a formal letter giving my landlord ten (10) days notice to correct said problems.  Which would have given her until Friday March 4th 2011 to do what I had requested.  The list is long, I will not add it here for legal reasons.  It was not stipulated to me by the ville de Montreal that I had to stipulate 10 business days or just 10 days.  So I sent in the letter that night and sent it via registered mail.  She received it on Feb 24th, two days after it was sent.  I have the verification stating as much.  So that gives her 8 days, or technically 9 since I did not include the day the letter was sent to be fair.  Not that I feel that they deserve any form of fairness, however I try to be a fair person.

It is now March 8th, four days after the imposed deadline.  Around 7:30 this evening, there was someone banging at my door.  Seeing as how I am not expecting any company, I for obvious reasons choose not to answer my door.  By law she has to give me 24 hours notice to show up here or I can refuse to let her into my home.  So I did just that.  As in refused to let her in.  This is really just a case of her trying to save her ass from whomever owns the actual property and likely trying to save her job.  Had it been done correctly in the first place, none of this would be an issue.  How dare you think for a second that it\’s OK for you to just show up without any formal notice?  What if I had plans? What if I was having sex and you waltzed in?  I mean seriously?  How dare you!

I have been MORE then patient and rather considerate with this whole situation.  I have done nothing but take exceptional care of my home.  I\’ve taken all the appropriate steps to right several wrongs and yet it takes a damn eternity to get things done around here.  I have had enough of her discombobulated nonsense and therefore I have decided to  put my foot down.

It\’s too little, too damn late and this time I am fighting back.  It\’s as simple as that.  I will be going to my home office for the city as soon as I\’m done work tomorrow and filling a formal complaint with them to get a building inspector in here to add one more nail to the coffin that they have built for themselves.

It\’s really not about the money, it\’s the principal of the whole thing.  Had she actually taken the time to acknowledge me and my requests in the designated time period then this would have not been an issue.  However she did not, therefore it\’s going to be their loss, not mine.
